Not only has the nice weather finally arrived, but the Province of Ontario and local municipalities have also started to announce the opening of some facilities and locations.

With that in mind, we have been working diligently with the Boards of Directors to ensure that amenities, when allowed, are opened safely with the health and well-being of everyone in mind. Amenities may include: gyms, party rooms, saunas/hot tubs, pools, BBQ areas and garden/gazebo areas. Condominiums must comply with provincial and municipal regulations, as well as public health authorities and must consider such factors as: social distancing, extra cleaning, security, cost, ease of use and signage (to name a few). All condominiums are different and there is no one-size-fits-all solution. Directors must also weigh the risks and benefits when considering requests for in-suite work or unit improvements.

Although some facilities and locations are opening, the provincial government’s mandate on social gatherings remains the same. We urge all residents to continue to physically distance themselves from others, gather in groups of 5 or less and allow only essential guests into their unit. Kindly keep your distance from building superintendents or any trades that are on site and instead contact your property manager with any questions or concerns.

We hope you are all staying well!
